This is
bottled by Whiskysite.nl and comes from a Bourbon hogshead. It has casknumber
3394 and only 209 bottles were made. Lots of vanilla and marzipan is the first
thing that hits my nose. Then tobacco leaves and caramel.
Again
tobacco and sweetness in the taste. First the tobacco (and maybe leather) and
then loads of sweetness. Burned caramel and tablet toffee. The finish is nice
and long and just carries the taste all the way through to the end.
This is
very different from other Dailuaine I have tasted. Not in a bad way though! I
love this more rough style and the high ABV just make it so compact. Don´t be
afraid of some water, it doesn’t change the whisky completely, but takes it
down a notch and lets you enjoy the different flavors. I will rate this 87/100
(21/22/22/22).
